The Story Behind The Global Sisterhood Video
Wild Family filmmakers and ARISE Video Studio owners, Cabe Lindsay and Kat Lindsay, had the extreme pleasure of producing this video, on behalf of the Unify organization. This film is co-created by over 50 women, along with hawks, peacocks, songbirds, and the breeze, all lending their voices for one singular message for the masses.
What Is Global Sisterhood?
Global Sisterhood is an international movement, rallying women to embrace each other as members of a “greater family,” in which all women are sisters. This action is designed to create a sense of belonging, well-being, and self-worth. This initiative is led by Unify, with leadership from Lauren Elizabeth Walsh and Emma Juniper. Lauren is the chief writer and the heart behind the Global Sisterhood video you see here.
The Global Sisterhood Movement began on International Women’s Day, March, 8th 2016. During the first year, over 1200 Sister Circles in 70 countries unified every new moon, focusing on a transformation theme. Thousands of women gathered to cultivate sisterhood and transform the way they relate to themselves and each other.

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin
The idea of the “Greater Family” appears in all of the world’s great religions. It is expressed in the Golden Rule, the Ten Commandments, the laws of Karma, and the symbology and ceremonies of indigenous traditions. Each is an invitation to honor oneself by honoring all people, because we are all related.
“Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ” is a phrase from the Lakota language. It means “All Are Related.” It is a prayer for harmony with all forms of life, reflecting the perspective of oneness, i.e. interconnectedness, held by the Lakota people of North America.
Key Of Harmony
“I wish Harmony, Love, Truth and Justice to all my brothers and sisters. With the united forces of the silent vibrations of our thoughts, we are strong, healthy and happy, thus forming a link of Universal fraternity…” This prayer is called “Key of Harmony.” It is an affirmation, imagining and creating a world in which all beings “achieve their most intimate aspirations.” So be it. Amen.
The Key of Harmony nicely summarizes the sentiment of “sisterhood” and “brotherhood.” It refers to the relationships that connect people as a community, or a family, reminding us to celebrate each other as sisters and brothers. It is a commitment to love thy neighbor as thy self. This action is so very perfect–for such a time as this!
